Minimal Exposure

There is something almost overwhelming about beginning such a heroic endeavor like starting a blog. In our modern culture these things seem to be so powerful and yet so weak. Bloggers seem to be influencing everything we say and think and yet most blogs live in relative obscurity. Their owners taping character after character into the word-containers that will never be examined or even known to exist by anyone. The whole thing seems like such a folly and yet we as humans are drawn to the project like moths to a bug-zapper. We type and type and type and hope, maybe, or don't even think to hope that the reader will emerge. Perhaps it is all part of a universal narcissism that is possessed by the human race. We need to expose ourselves, but only when we can be reasonably assured that our chance of being viewed is minimized. Note we say minimized but refuse to see it as eliminated.
